These coasters where originally blank, yet have been gradually drawn on in pub named Stumbling Monk. An original idea to express a creative process in a relaxed environment. I feel this idea lends itself well to the subconious and the exploration of human behaviour. It would be interesting to find out if people where given paper and pen in a different environment, or in a different type of pub, would the images change?
The rules for these coaters are as follows…

i always think this is such a creaive method to do something if you've not got factors to account for, like with the pub beer mats it doens't matter as long as there not offence whats on them, there just there for art. But always funny when you do the same with a story, or drawing a body between like five people, everyones brains are in a different place at the same time.
What an interesting idea..it allows people to make their own mark... one does not necessarily have to be creative. It also makes the customer feel part of the pub, therefore possibly making them want to return.
these are great, it unites the customers and also produces attractive unique artworks. Have you seen the teddy bears specially made so you can draw on them, its along the same lines.
No I havent i will have to look out for them-
It also reminds me of the restuarant Macaroni Grill where you get to draw on the table cloth.
