Jason Orton

'JASON ORTON LIVES IN LONDON. HE HAS WORKED AS AN EDITORIAL PHOTOGRAPHER FOR NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. HIS LATEST WORK REPRESENTS A SHIFT TO MORE LONG-TERM PROJECTS. SINCE 2004 HE HAS PRODUCED AN EXTENSIVE STUDY OF URBAN REGENERATION IN AN AREA EAST OF LONDON CALLED THE 'THAMES GATEWAY. HIS BOOK 350 MILES WITH WRITER KEN WORPOLE WAS PUBLISHED IN 2005.' http://blanka.co.uk/Photography/Jason_Orton.

I really like these images for their simplicity, although they remain viewable and interesting. They drawn you in to the main focal point of the image, whether it because of ...intense colour, strange objects, movement etc. The suggestion of regeneration is somewhat amusing, as the pictures do not reflect any regeneration, perhaps this is the point.
